Established
in 1980 by experienced engineers and business people, TEC is, and always has been,
uniquely qualified to serve the high technology and engineering markets. TEC
founder and CEO Gary Rupert began his career as an engineer with the Space
Physics Research Laboratory at the University of Michigan, where he was responsible
for major atmospheric research programs involving the Apollo, Fire, Surveyor,
and X-15. As a founder of Raycon Corporation, Mr. Rupert revolutionized the Electronic
Discharge Machining field. Both the automotive and aerospace industries owe their
advances in diesel fuel injection and cooling systems to Raycon’s pioneering applications
in precision hole production. In 1994, Michigan Governor John Engler appointed
Mr. Rupert to the State Personnel Agency Board. Mr. Rupert holds a degree in electrical
engineering from The University of Michigan, is the holder of several patented
inventions, and has authored numerous technical papers. Soon
after beginning his career as a design engineer, TEC founder Bob Johnson
was appointed to the team working on the Apollo XI Passive Seismic Experiment,
more commonly known as the Moonquake Detector project. Mr. Johnson continued to
work on moon exploration projects until 1974 when he was asked to join Raycon
Corporation. As Engineering Manager, Mr. Johnson led the design and tooling of
specialized state-of-the-art EDM machines that became pacesetters in the automotive
and aerospace industries. As the original President of TEC, Mr. Johnson was a
major force in establishing the business. |
