Employees are eligible for benefits if they are working an average of 30 hours per week. You have 30 days from your start date to enroll in this benefit. If you do not enroll by the new hire enrollment deadline, you will not be eligible for insurance benefits until our next Open Enrollment period which is typically held in February with a March 1st effective date. If you have any questions on your benefit effective date, please contact the benefits or onboarding department.
401k’s are a great way to start planning for retirement. TEC offers a 401k Plan through American Funds, and ALL employees are eligible. An employee becomes eligible on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. American Funds offers dozens of different investment funds and fund selection can be modified at any time. Within the plan, you may make contributions directly through payroll deductions. You have the option to pull funds on a pre-tax basis, post-tax basis, or both!
